06/30/2010 - Phoenix, AZ (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Phoenix Coyotes on Wednesday named Mike Nealy the club's chief operating officer, replacing Doug Moss.

The move came hours after the National Hockey League reportedly fired Moss as president and COO of the Coyotes.

"On behalf of the National Hockey League, I send thanks to Doug for his devoted service to the team, the fans and to Jobing.com Arena," said NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly. "We wish Doug the best as he moves on to a new chapter in his career."

Nealy joined the franchise in 2006 and served as an executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Moss had been the club's president since December, 2002.

Phoenix is coming off the most successful campaign in franchise history, going 50-25-7 and setting team records for wins and points. The Coyotes reached the playoffs for the first time since 2002 but were ousted in a home Game 7 against Detroit.
